STANDING WARM-UP DRILLS
Hip Rock

 

Purpose:
Improve Hip Flexibility
Steps:
  1. Place one hand against a wall or a tree for balance.
  2. Place the other hand on your hip.
  3. Keep the front foot on the ground.
  4. Rock back and forth; extending your hip and rolling up onto your back toe.
  5. Perform this exercise 10 times for each leg.

Please consult your doctor before trying any of these stretches.
Beginner walkers may find them too stressful.
